This place is just as lovely as the pictures suggest. Pauline and Pascal were so helpful, allowing us to arrive at very late hours, providing good tips for the surroundings and just simply being so nice! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets from the terrase! You can not go wrong with staying there!

My girlfriend and I recently spent 12 days at Casa Sidra, part of the Au Petit Madere complex, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We met one of the hosts, Pascal, on arrival, and he was very friendly and helpful. He and Pauline had compiled a book, full of places of interest and their favourite restaurants. We tried a few of their recommendations during our stay, and were very impressed. Being mid December, it was initially a bit chilly, so Pascal provided us with two gas-filled radiators, which kept the place warm and toasty. Most days, though, it reached 70F, with plenty of sunshine, so lots of sunbathing opportunities! LIVING AREA - spacious and modern, with sofa, table and chairs, and well-equipped kitchen. Pauline and Pascal very kindly sourced a blender for us, so that we could make juices and smoothies. Plenty of hot water in the taps, and free, codeless wi-fi. Clothes-washing facilities were available upon request (just 2 Euros for the washing powder). BEDROOM - comfortable double bed and spacious wardrobe with coat hangers. All bed linen provided, including a second duvet. BATHROOM - powerful and efficient shower, with plenty of hot water. Toilet flushed very well. Radiator gave out good heat and dried the towels well. All towels provided. PATIO AREA - Quiet, not overlooked, with beautiful views of the sea and sunset. We enjoyed eating outside and sunbathing on the sun loungers. Quite a steep hill leading up from the Casa, but the little Fiat 500 that we rented coped well! LOCATION - Fairly remote (about 45 minutes' drive from the capital, Funchal), so it was good to have the little car. The nearest supermarket was about 3km away, mainly uphill, but also very walkable, along small roads with pavements. We also enjoyed a couple of meals at a local restaurant, Prazeres Rurais, which was about 2km away. The nearest town was Calheta, about 10km away, with a man-made sandy beach and the best supermarket, Pingo. We also enjoyed the local Sunday fruit and veg market which was about 2km away. Lovely, fresh, homegrown produce! All in all, the accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable, the location was quiet and secluded, and the hosts kind and helpful. We would love to go back there one day. Highly recommended!

Prazeres was an excellent location for a peaceful stay on Madeira. We loved the view of the accommodation and its proximity to all necessary amenities (restaurants, supermarkets) and main visit sites. We have been welcomed by Sonia who was very kind, but the communication with Pauline & Pascal was easy and efficient. They even prepared for the guests a leaflet with surrounding tips and hikes, which was very helpful. We recommend to stay Au Petit Madère if you want to enjoy the sunny South-Coast and quietness!

We had a lovely 4night stay at the house near Prazeres. We could easily find the house via googlemaps. Houses are located very abandoned at the end of a road. Great view over the sea, very calm. Perfect to relax, grill and chill. Close to coastal villages and also not very far to popular hiking tracks near Paul da Serra. We really enjoyed

Everything you need and a beautiful view with stunning sunsets this time of year! There was a detailed selfmade brochure with Walks, restaurants, places worth visiting ... we felt very relaxed in this beautiful, quiet place.

The apartment is as pictured, and the view is amazing. We had gorgeous sunsets almost everyday. The apartment is ideally located middle of the island along the coast to drive up north or go down south. As it is situated in this area, it can be quite cold. The kitchen was well equipped, which was perfect for cooking breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend this place!

Die Aussicht zum Meer ist fantastisch. Sogar vom Bett aus hat man einen tollen Blick Richtung Meer. Die ganze Hausfront, Wohn- und Schlafzimmer haben bodentiefe Glasfenster, die man bei Bedarf aufschieben kann. Die Lage absolut ruhig. Morgens kam die Sonne gegen 9 Uhr hinter den Bergen hervor. Durch die überdachte Terrasse konnten wir auch bei Regenschauern draußen sitzen. Im Ferienhaus ist alles vorhanden. Mietwagen ist unbedingt notwendig.
Fazit: zwei wunderbare erholsame Wochen

Nous avons réellement apprécié notre séjour à Prazeres : le confort du gite Ginga parfaitement entretenu, décoré avec beaucoup de goût, ses équipements, la vue imprenable sur l'Océan, le calme et la sérénité du site….ainsi que l'accueil chaleureux à notre arrivée.
Des vacances ressourçantes et de très bons souvenirs pour toute la famille!

La maison offre un maximum de confort, de calme dans un cadre exceptionnel. Nous avons été remarquablement par Pascal, le propriétaire qui fait montre d'une sincère gentillesse et prend les devants pour donner des conseils sur les randonnées ou les lieux à visiter. Location parfaite pour visiter toute la partie ouest de l'île de Madère. La vue sur mer est idyllique, le gîte parfaitement entretenu. La description de l'annonce correspond bien à ce qu'on trouve sur place. Le propriétaire a été de bon conseil pour les visites. Je recommande!

Un véritable paradis !
Une maison très fonctionnelle, bien décorée avec goût, une vue dégagée sur l'océan, le BBQ à disposition...
Accueil sympathique avec Sonia, un guide en français nous attend, les docs des propriétaires sont riches et détaillés.
Une location que nous recommandons pour des vacances reposantes, dépaysantes, avec une multitudes de levadas à parcourir, des restaurants à découvrir ....
Un séjour enchanteur.
